Josiah "Joe" Thomas Farmer was born 5 September 1871. MarriedMargaret Elizabeth "Maggie Lizzie" Richeson. She was born 22August 1877 and was the daughter of James Hutt Richeson and Mary LouRafferty. This family farmed in Taylor County, Kentucky and latermoved to Jefferson County, Kentucky. Joe died 3 October
1956. Maggie died 15 June 1969.

1. Robert Alvin Farmer was born on 10 September 1896. He marriedNettie Wise on 31 December 1916. She died 8 April 1958. He died 9June 1976. Alvin and Nettie are buried at Memorial Gardens,Campbellsville, KY.

2. Everett Elmer Farmer born 30 March 1898. Died 4 February 1958.Married Sudie Farmer. Died 1980 at age 83.

3. Myrtie Eunice Farmer born 4 July 1900. Died 1901.

4. Lottie Bell Farmer born 29 June 1902.
Married:
(1) Mancel Moore on 24 January 1943. Mance was struck bylightening 10 July 1943.
(2) Spencer Hundley
(3) William E. "Doodle" Dorsey. Doodle died 23 February 1990in Islip, New York at age 91. Funeral held in Lebanon, KY.
5. Gertrude Farmer born 21 August 1904. Married Ray E. Perkins. Died18 June 1982.

6. Mary Rena Farmer born 29 January 1907. Married LouisC.Kochert on 30 December 1932. Louis was born on 27 January 1908.No children.

7. Winnie Susan Farmer born 18 April 1909. Married Ulysses Gupton3 November 1925. Ulysses was born 25 May 1906. He died 28 January1953.

8. Leonard Willie Farmer born 3 October 1911. Leonard died 22 August1934. Married Rena Berdine Oliver. Rena died 1 March 1981.

9. Edgar Thomas Farmer born 29 September 1914. Married Virginia Elrod25 December 1935.Edgar died 13 June 1973. Virginia was born 24 June1916.

10.Gilbert Lee Farmer born 17 June 1919. According to the Dept ofthe Army, Gilbert was wounded 9 December 1943 in Salerno, Italy anddied 9 December 1943, in the 33rd Field Hospital in North Africa.He is buried in the Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorialin Nettuno, Italy
