Farmdale, Ky., in 1837 which they named in honor of the family. For 25 years the brothers were in business
together. In 1861 he became the sole owner under the name of "B Farmer and Son". For 62 years he was
connected with the business. At the death of his father, 6 Benjamin Farmer, he became the owner of the homestead
and plantation and his descendants still own it. His father migrated to Kentucky in 1807 and settled on the location
now known as Farmdale. It is a family tradition that Daniel Boone deeded to 6 Benjamin Farmer some of the land
